Pimpri-Chinchwad, 30th October 2025: Maharashtra BJP Yuva Morcha State President Anup More has resigned from his position following serious allegations made against him by a woman office bearer of the youth wing. The development has triggered a political stir in local BJP circles and across the state.
According to police, a 36-year-old woman, who also serves as a BJP Yuva Morcha office bearer, lodged a complaint at the Chinchwad Police Station against More and eight others, accusing them of molestation, assault, and issuing threats.
Allegations of Threat and Assault
In her complaint, the woman alleged that on October 26, around 2:30 p.m., she was assaulted and threatened by both male and female party workers associated with More. She also claimed she was verbally abused with obscene language and received death threats.
Based on her complaint, the Chinchwad Police registered a case against More and eight others under relevant sections of the law. The incident quickly escalated into a political controversy, with opposition leaders targeting the BJP leadership over the issue.
Earlier on Thursday, the complainant went live on Facebook, appealing directly to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis for justice and requesting a meeting with him to present her case.

Police have confirmed that the investigation into the case is underway.
