Wakad, 8th November 2025: In a shocking late-night accident at the Wakad BRTS station, a 32-year-old motorcyclist sustained severe head injuries after crashing into iron railings and getting his head trapped between the bars.
The victim, Ajit Laxman Kadu, a resident of Pimpri-Chinchwad, was reportedly riding at high speed through the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) corridor around midnight on Friday when he lost control of his motorcycle and slammed into the metal barricades of the bus station.
According to police officials, the impact was so intense that KaduтАЩs head got stuck between the iron bars, prompting a tense rescue effort. Bystanders and emergency responders worked together to pry apart the railings and free him.
тАЬThe rider sustained serious head injuries but narrowly escaped a fatal outcome. Had he been wearing a helmet, the injuries could have been largely prevented,тАЭ said a police officer involved in the investigation.
Kadu was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for head trauma. Police briefly cordoned off the accident site to remove debris and ensure the safety of other commuters.
