Pimpri, 15th November 2025: Strengthening its ongoing drive to boost property tax recovery, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has stepped up enforcement action against persistent defaulters. Between November 1 and November 14, a total of 35 properties were sealed, and 105 water connections were disconnected across different parts of the city.
тАЬPCMC has now adopted a firm stance on property tax recovery. When repeated notices fail to elicit payment, we are compelled to initiate attachment as per regulations. All zonal offices have been directed to act without delay. We urge defaulters to clear their dues immediately to avoid further actionтАЭ, said Pankaj Patil, Deputy Commissioner, PCMC.
Despite repeated reminders and formal notices, several property owners continued to default on payments, prompting the corporation to initiate direct action at the ward level. Recovery efforts are being carried out through 18 divisional offices, each deploying dedicated teams to visit defaulting properties and enforce attachment.
Senior civic officials, including Additional Commissioner Pradip Jambhale Patil and Deputy Commissioner Pankaj Patil, have instructed all zonal offices to conduct an aggressive month-long recovery campaign. Residential and commercial establishments with long-pending dues are being targeted, and teams are conducting on-ground visits daily to initiate sealing and disconnection procedures.
The civic administration has reiterated that legal provisions mandate strict action in cases where dues remain unpaid despite multiple opportunities for settlement.
