Built Fake Persona to Trap Women
Investigators and family members of the victims revealed that the accused had been showcasing himself as a DY Patil College professor to gain credibility on matrimonial platforms. After establishing trust, he allegedly persuaded several women to send him large sums of money on various pretexts.
Relatives Confront, Then Assault Him
The fraud came to light when the relatives of some of the affected women located the accused near the college.
