Pimpri-Chinchwad, 17th November 2025: Residents of Pimple Nilakh–Vishal Nagar held a meeting to address key civic and public safety issues in the locality. During the discussion, participants unanimously decided to draft a comprehensive “Residents’ Election Manifesto” outlining the community’s major civic demands and expectations. This document will be formally shared with all candidates contesting the upcoming Municipal Corporation elections.
The initiative aims to bring clarity and accountability to the priorities that elected representatives must address once they assume office. Participants also stressed that issues falling outside the municipal corporation’s purview will be escalated to the respective Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) and Member of Parliament (MP). Residents emphasized that corporators must ensure quality, transparency and proper utilization of
public funds in all developmental works.
The group reiterated that the initiative is non-political and citizen-driven, functioning throughout the year rather than only during elections. They clarified that the platform does not endorse or oppose any political party and that their role in the electoral process will be limited to exercising their right to vote.

However, they strongly asserted that contesting candidates must demonstrate awareness of local issues and a commitment to addressing them.
With the support of Senior Police Inspector Koli of Sangvi Police Station, a team of marshals attended the meeting and informed residents about enhanced 24×7 policing arrangements in the area. These include deployment of a dedicated “112” patrol vehicle and the Damini response unit. Residents were urged to promptly report any suspicious activities to the Sangvi Police Control Room.
The meeting saw participation from representatives of more than 50 housing societies. The initiative received widespread appreciation, with residents expressing confidence that the effort would drive meaningful and positive change in the locality.
