Pimpri Chinchwad, 24th November 2025: The Petrol Dealers Association Pune met with Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey and Additional Commissioner Sarang Awad on Sunday to discuss growing safety and security concerns at fuel stations.
The association highlighted an increase in attacks on petrol pump employees, incidents of customers fleeing without payment, vehicles operating without number plates, and cyber frauds leading to the freezing of dealer bank accounts.
Police officials assured dealers of enhanced patrolling around petrol pumps, strict enforcement against number-plate violations, and closer coordination with the Cyber Cell to prevent business disruptions.

We expect swift and firm action so that no employee fears for their safety while simply doing their job,тАЭ said Dhruv Ruparel, President of the Petrol Dealers Association Pune.
The meeting marks a step toward improving safety measures at fuel stations across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad.
