Chakan, 27th November 2025: The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) conducted the “Nidhi Aapke Nikat” outreach programme at Tetra Pak India Pvt. Ltd., MIDC Chakan Phase 2, on Thursday, with a large number of employers and EPF members from the Chakan industrial belt participating.
Regional Provident Fund Commissioner–I, Akurdi, Sanat Kumar, briefed attendees on EPFO’s latest schemes, including the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana, the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign 2025, and the streamlined process for settlement of death claims.
He informed that under the Employees’ Enrolment Campaign 2025, establishments can bring eligible workers into the Provident Fund system by paying only a nominal penalty, encouraging greater compliance.
Highlighting the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rojgar Yojana, he said the scheme will be implemented from August 1, 2025, to July 31, 2027. New employees joining their first job during this period and becoming EPF members for the first time will receive a government incentive of ₹15,000, disbursed in two installments.
According to EPFO, around 2,400 establishments under the Akurdi and Hinjawadi Regional Offices have already registered under the scheme, and nearly 37,000 new members have been enrolled. Kumar urged more establishments to register early to maximise benefits.
During the session, information booklets on the new Labour Codes were distributed, and detailed explanations of key provisions were provided. Technical insights and procedural guidance were shared by Alok Kumar and Kumar Amit through a presentation, while M.K. Mishra and Dinesh Shelar managed registration and addressed grievances.
Enforcement Officers Prasad Borkar and Jaykisan M. Manwani were also present. Representatives from the Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC), including Pranav Chavan from the Chakan branch, briefed participants on ESIC benefits.
From Tetra Pak India Pvt. Ltd., Santosh Sonatakke attended and appreciated the initiative. Officials said the programme reinforced workplace welfare by enhancing awareness about social security benefits among employers and employees.
