Pimpri Chinchwad, 25th March 2026 : Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) commissioner Vijay Suryawanshi on Tuesday said that strict action will be taken against officials and employees found deliberately neglecting their duties or acting with mala fide intent.
Suryvawanshi said citizens expect a clean, prompt and transparent administration, and the civic body is committed to meeting those expectations.
“While officials and employees work with good intentions, if there are minor lapses, they will be understood and addressed. However, any deliberate wrongdoing or negligence will not be tolerated,” he said.
The commissioner emphasised that no leniency would be shown towards such officials or employees and assured that strict action would be initiated against those found guilty.
Speaking during the civic body’s special budget session, Suryawanshi said the suggestions received from elected representatives had provided detailed insights into the city’s issues and requirements. “Through discussions in the general body, we have received comprehensive inputs from public representatives regarding various civic problems and needs,” he said.
