Pimpri Chinchwad, 22nd April 2026: Maha Metro and PMPML have expanded feeder bus connectivity from PCMC Metro station and other key locations to strengthen last-mile travel across the city. The service, which now covers 11 metro stations on 23 routes, aims to make Metro access more convenient for daily commuters.
Metro officials said route surveys are being conducted at additional stations to further expand the feeder network. In areas where bus parking or halting space is limited, the authorities are planning to introduce autorickshaw-based feeder services. The objective, officials said, is to ensure at least one dependable last-mile option at every Metro station.

Currently, feeder buses are operational from major stations including PCMC, SNDT, Swargate, Shivajinagar, Ramwadi, Yerawada and Kalyaninagar. To strengthen the network, Maha Metro has also tied up with private operators. In the Nagar Road IT corridor, private companies are already running feeder buses, while similar arrangements are implemented at SNDT station.

Despite these efforts, commuters have expressed dissatisfaction with the service stating that the officials concerned must focus on improving the frequency of buses available from these stations to ensure that more number of commuters use it.
