Pimpri Chinchwad, 27th April 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced that evening water supply across all parts of the city will remain suspended on Tuesday, April 28, due to civil and electrical maintenance works at the Nigdi Water Purification Centre.
The civic body said morning water supply on Wednesday, April 29, will be irregular and at low pressure. Residents have been urged to store adequate water in advance and use it carefully during the disruption.
According to the water supply department, periodic maintenance and repair of the cityтАЩs water infrastructure is necessary to avoid larger breakdowns in the distribution system. As part of this exercise, civil and electrical works will be undertaken at the Sector 23 facility and other zonal-level installations.
To facilitate the repairs, supply from the Nigdi Water Purification Centre will remain shut on April 28, affecting the evening supply in all areas of Pimpri Chinchwad.
Chief Engineer Pramod Ombhase appealed to citizens to make sufficient storage arrangements as per their needs and use available water in a planned and economical manner. He said the municipal administration would make efforts to complete all maintenance works within the scheduled time and restore normal water supply at the earliest.
