Chakan, 9th October 2025: A woman has been booked for allegedly selling a property worth тВ╣4.84 crore that had been attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The act constitutes a violation of a government order. The incident occurred in Nighoje village, Khed taluka, in February this year.
According to a complaint filed by an Assistant Director of the ED at the Mhalunge MIDC Police Station (Pimpri Chinchwad police), a 44-year-old woman from Beed district has been charged in the case. Police said the land parcel in Nighoje had been legally attached by the ED, and the accused had received an official written order regarding the same. Despite this, she allegedly sold the property independently for тВ╣4.84 crore with the intention to deceive the government. The sale deed was registered at the Sub-RegistrarтАЩs Office, Khed.
The Mhalunge MIDC Police are conducting further investigation.
