Pimpri-Chinchwad, 7th October 2025: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh has been transferred to Nashik, according to an order received by the civic body on Tuesday evening around 5 pm. The charge of the Municipal CommissionerтАЩs office has been handed over temporarily to MetroтАЩs Managing Director, Shravan Hardikar.
Shekhar Singh had taken charge as the Commissioner of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) in August 2022. During his tenure of over three years and two months, Singh oversaw several key civic projects and administrative reforms in the twin cities.
According to the governmentтАЩs transfer order, Singh has been assigned to Nashik, where he will play a key role in preparations for the upcoming Kumbh Mela.
The appointment of a new full-time PCMC Commissioner is expected to be announced soon.
