Pimpri, 31st October 2025: The Pimpri-Chinchwad City Police has announced the recruitment of 322 constables across various categories. The application process has started through the official Maharashtra Police recruitment portal and will remain open until November 30, 2025.
According to the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, the recruitment drive includes 97 posts for general candidates, 97 for women, 16 for sportspersons, 16 for project-affected individuals, six for earthquake-affected candidates, 48 for ex-servicemen, 16 for part-time graduates, 10 for police cadets, and 16 for home guards.
Eligible candidates can apply online through the official website policerecruitment2025.mahait.org. The written examination will be conducted on the same day across all police units in Maharashtra. Therefore, each candidate can apply for only one police unit in the entire state.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Shweta Khedkar, who is also the Chairperson of the Police Recruitment Committee, cautioned applicants against misinformation and fraud. тАЬIf anyone demands money or any form of favour for police recruitment, candidates should immediately report the matter to the Anti-Corruption Department. For any other issues, they can contact the Chairman of the Police Recruitment Committee or the Police Commissioner,тАЭ she said.
Recruitment Process
The selection process will begin with a physical test, followed by a written examination for shortlisted candidates. The written test will carry 100 marks and will be conducted in a 1:10 ratio of qualified candidates from the physical test.
To qualify, candidates must score at least 50 percent marks in the physical test and 40 percent marks in the written examination. Those scoring below 40 percent will be considered ineligible.
A merit list will be prepared based on combined marks from both the physical and written tests. The shortlisted candidates will then undergo document verification, after which a provisional selection list will be released, followed by the final merit list.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have passed Class 10 or Class 12 and be between 18 and 28 years of age as of the recruitment date.
The recruitment aims to strengthen the cityтАЩs police force, which plays a key role in maintaining law and order in the fast-growing Pimpri-Chinchwad region.
