Pune, 30th November 2025: After several days of warmer nights, Pune experienced a sudden and sharp dip in minimum temperatures on Sunday, November 30, surprising both residents and meteorologists. The city, which had recorded minimum temperatures hovering around 17┬░C last week, slipped back into single digits as the mercury dropped from 14.2┬░C to 9.8┬░C within just 24 hours.
This fall came despite earlier predictions that minimum temperatures would remain above normal due to the influence of Cyclone Ditwah. However, SundayтАЩs reading defied the forecast, making it one of the coldest mornings of the season so far.
Rural parts of the district witnessed an even more drastic change. Haveli reported the lowest temperature at 7.8┬░C, while Baramati and Pashan recorded single-digit lows of 9.6┬░C and 9.4┬░C, respectively тАФ indicating a widespread cooling trend across the region.
The sudden chill marks an unexpectedly cold end to November. Officials said clearer skies and reduced cloud cover overnight may have played a key role in the sharp temperature drop.
