Pimpri, 2nd December 2025: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has made it mandatory for all educational establishments—including schools, colleges, coaching classes, academies and training centres—to register with the Fire Department and obtain an official Fire Safety Compliance Certificate. The Fire Department has urged every institution to complete this process online and ensure full compliance with prescribed safety norms.
“Every educational institution hosts hundreds of students daily, and ensuring their safety is a fundamental responsibility. PCMC has emphasised that no educational institution is exempt from fire safety regulations. Every premises used for academic or training activities must maintain functional fire-fighting systems, clear emergency exits, alarm mechanisms, and trained personnel. Institutions that fail to meet these requirements will face strict action under the applicable rules.

Maintaining a fire-safe premises is the responsibility of the institution’s management, and proper certification helps prevent major incidents, protecting both students and staff. The Fire Department has appealed to all institute owners to ensure timely registration and implement all required safety measures without delay.
Online Registration Made Simple
To streamline the process, PCMC has enabled online applications for fire safety inspection, registration and certification through https://noncoreerp.pcmcindia.gov.in/login. A dedicated QR code has also been released by the Fire Department, allowing institutions to scan, upload documents, and submit applications conveniently and transparently.
