Pimple Saudagar, 1st December 2025: Pimpri Chinchwad police have uncovered a sex racket operating under the guise of a spa in Pimple Saudagar, arresting the owner and rescuing seven women allegedly forced into prostitution.
The operation was carried out at The Aura Thai Spa in Rose Icon building by the crime branchтАЩs anti-human trafficking unit, led by Senior Police Inspector Nitin Gite. According to the officer, police acted after receiving a tip-off about suspicious activities at a spa located within a local complex.
тАЬWe deployed a decoy customer to verify the tip-off. Once the information was confirmed, our team raided the premises,тАЭ Gite said.
The rescued women, hailing from different parts of India, were found living and working at the spa under coercion. тАЬAll seven women have been shifted to a shelter home for their safety,тАЭ the officer added.
The 30-year-old spa owner, a native of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, has been taken into custody. тАЬA case has been registered against him at the Sangvi police station, and further investigations are underway,тАЭ Gite confirmed.
