Pimpri-Chinchwad, 5th February 2026: A tragic incident was reported from Bhosari on Thursday evening, where a young man died after jumping from a multi-storey building in the Dhawade Vasti area. The man left behind a handwritten note in which he reportedly expressed distress and dissatisfaction over the response he received from the police.
The deceased has been identified as Keshari Prasad Sahu, a resident of Bhosari who originally hailed from Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh. According to officials, he went to the top of a building in the afternoon and remained there for some time, causing concern among nearby residents.
Locals alerted the police and fire brigade, who rushed to the spot and began efforts to bring him down safely. During the operation, Sahu insisted on speaking to his wife and arrangements were made to facilitate the call. However, moments later, he suddenly leapt from the building before responders could intervene.
After the incident, police found a multi-page note among his belongings. In the letter, Sahu reportedly stated that his wife had gone missing and that he believed she had been taken away by someone known to them. He claimed he had approached the police seeking help to question certain individuals and review CCTV footage but felt that his concerns were not adequately addressed.
The note also included emotional messages for his family, particularly his wife and young daughter, along with directions related to his final rites.
Police officials said an investigation is underway to verify the contents of the note and examine the circumstances leading up to the incident. They are also reviewing whether there were any procedural lapses in handling his earlier complaint.
