Pimpri Chinchwad, 20th February 2026: The Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has announced a temporary suspension of water supply across the city on February 23 due to maintenance and repair work at the Nigdi Water Purification Centre.
According to officials, the civic bodyтАЩs water supply department will undertake civil and electrical maintenance works at Sector 23 facilities as well as repairs within the distribution network at the regional level. As a result, the evening water supply on Monday, February 23, will remain completely shut in all parts of Pimpri Chinchwad.
Authorities said such periodic maintenance is necessary to prevent major disruptions in the water supply system and to ensure long-term service reliability. The impact of the work is expected to continue the following day, with Tuesday morningтАЩs supply likely to be irregular and at low pressure.
Residents have been urged to store adequate water in advance and use it judiciously during the shutdown period. Civic officials also stated that efforts are being made to complete the repairs on schedule and restore normal supply as soon as possible.
Additional Municipal Commissioner Vikrant Bagade appealed to citizens to cooperate with the administration and bear with the temporary inconvenience.
