The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Mayor Ravi Landge, Deputy Mayor Sharmila Babar, Standing Committee Chairman Abhishek Barne, Municipal Commissioner Dr Vijay Suryavanshi, and Additional Commissioner Trupti Sandbhor, with the Tax Department led by Deputy Commissioner Sachin Pawar.
PCMC has also made several services available on its official website, allowing citizens to access property details, check pending dues, view available rebates, and download tax payment receipts from a single platform.
Officials said the increasing adoption of digital payment systems reflects the growing use of technology among residents of Pimpri Chinchwad and has made the property tax payment process faster and more convenient.
Deputy Commissioner Sachin Pawar said that the municipal corporation has prioritised ease of payment and the use of technology in the tax collection process. He added that the large-scale adoption of online payment by citizens has enabled them to pay property tax quickly from home, saving both time and effort.
