Pimpri Chinchwad, 7th April 2026: Amid a rising number of vacancies across departments in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation due to large-scale retirements, Mayor Ravi Landge has directed the administration to expedite the recruitment process.
Highlighting the seriousness of the issue, the mayor said that an efficient administrative setup is crucial in view of the cityтАЩs rapidly growing population. He said that staff shortages in several departments could impact the delivery of civic services to residents.
Officials have been instructed to immediately submit details of existing vacancies as well as positions that are expected to fall vacant in the near future and send proposals to the state government for necessary approvals and to fast-track the recruitment process.
тАЬConsidering the cityтАЩs rapid growth and increasing population, a robust administrative system is the need of the hour. There should be no disruption in citizen services due to vacant posts. All necessary positions must be filled on priority, and proposals should be sent to the government without delay to secure approvals,тАЭ Landge said.
