Pimpri-Chinchwad, 14th April 2026: The education department of the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has published a list of unauthorised English-medium schools in the city and cautioned parents against enrolling their children in these institutions for the 2026тАУ27 academic year.
Officials said these schools have been operating for several years but have been declared unauthorised for failing to obtain necessary permissions, recognition and to meet prescribed academic norms. The administration expressed concern that admissions in such schools could adversely affect studentsтАЩ future.
The education department has urged parents to verify a schoolтАЩs official recognition before seeking admission. It warned that enrolling children in unauthorised schools could lead to serious issues later, including difficulties related to board examinations, certificates and higher education.
Despite being issued notices earlier, the schools have continued to operate, officials said, adding that action will now be initiated against them.
The list of unauthorised English-medium schools includes Blooming Buds in Tathawade, Mane English Medium School in Kalewadi, Little Star English Medium School in Chinchwadenagar, HEMS International School in Wakad, Nurture International School in Kalewadi-Chikhali area, Galaxy International School in Moshi, Mindworld International School in Kalewadi-Chikhali, and Catalyst International School in Chikhali Phata.
The officials from the education department said that the move is aimed at ensuring transparency and maintaining quality in the cityтАЩs education system.
