Pimpri: A case of alleged corporate fraud has surfaced in the Chinchwad MIDC area, where a former manager is accused of violating a confidentiality agreement and sharing sensitive company information with a rival firm.
According to police, the incident took place between March 1 and May 31, 2025, at a private company located in Chinchwad MIDC. A complaint was lodged by the companyтАЩs manager at the Nigdi Police Station, following which a case has been registered against the accused.
Police said the accused was employed as a manager with the complainant company and had signed a confidentiality agreement during his tenure. As part of the contract, he had also agreed not to join any competing firm for a period of 12 months after leaving the organisation.
However, after resigning, the accused allegedly transferred sensitive company data to his personal email account. He later joined a rival firm and is suspected of misusing the confidential information for professional gain, leading to financial and strategic losses for his former employer.
A case has been registered under relevant sections related to cheating and criminal breach of trust. Further investigation is underway by the Nigdi Police.
