Rahatani, 20th December 2025: Police have taken action against a spa centre where a woman was allegedly forced into prostitution under the guise of spa services. The victim was rescued during a raid conducted by the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Crime Branch at Kokane Chowk in Rahatani.
Omkar Vinayak Joshi (26), a resident of Dattawadi in Pune, has been arrested. A case has also been registered against his accomplice. Police Constable Neelam Buchade of the Anti-Human Trafficking Cell lodged the complaint at the Kalewadi Police Station.
According to police, the accused lured the woman with monetary promises and forced her into prostitution while operating a spa centre. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted the raid and rescued the victim.
Police Inspector Surendra Dhumal is investigating the case.
