Pimpri-Chinchwad, 14th February 2026: The Sangvi Police have registered a case of kidnapping against an unknown person after a 17-year-old boy went missing from the Pimple Saudagar area on February 12, 2026.
The complaint was lodged by the boyтАЩs father, Devidas Vitthal Devkar (47), a resident of Yash Sankul Housing Society, near Hotel Swaraj Garden, Pimple Saudagar.
According to the police report, the incident occurred on the morning of February 12. The missing boy, identified as Shubhnit Devidas Devkar (17 years, 2 months), left his residence at approximately 10:00 AM to visit the Mahadev Temple in Pimple Saudagar for darshan.
When the complainant returned home from work around 11:15 AM, he was informed that his son had not returned. Upon receiving a call from his wife at noon stating the boy was still missing, the family launched a frantic search. They checked the temple premises, surrounding areas, and contacted relatives, but could not locate him.
Devidas Devkar has expressed suspicion that an unknown person may have lured and abducted his son. Consequently, a case has been registered at the Sangvi Police Station against an unidentified accused.

Build: Slim
Complexion: Fair, with a long face
Attire: He was last seen wearing a mehndi-colored (olive green) T-shirt, blue track pants, and brown chappals.
Languages Known: Marathi and Hindi.
Note: He was not carrying a mobile phone or money at the time of his disappearance.
Police Sub-Inspector Navanath Baburao Chapale is investigating the case. The police have urged citizens to report any information regarding the missing minor to the Sangvi Police Station immediately.
